Stayed in a cozy cottage with the family. The staff were really accommodating, even let us check in early so we could decorate for a birthday party. The kids loved the leisure facilities and we had a blast at the evening meal in the private dining area, just us and our personal waiter created a special atmosphere.

It wasn't exactly inexpensive but for the quality, I'd say it was worth it.

the setting of the hotel is just wonderful, surrounded by beautiful grounds that are super peaceful. the staff were really friendly n helpful, which made us feel welcome. the food at charlie's bar was delicious, and our room was huge, clean n super comfy. also, the views from our room were nice, with birds on the lake.

we struggled a bit with navigating the hotel since reception was across a footbridge, and there were no clear signs. also, the signal for our phones was pretty poor, which was annoying.

The breakfast was also a highlight, featuring a great mix of self-serve options and cooked dishes. cleanliness could use some improvement as I found the bathroom not up to standard upon arrival.

Staying in the Executive Double Room felt like a touch of luxury, especially with the four-poster bed and the lovely crushed velvet sofa. The view from the room added a serene backdrop to the comfortable stay, highlighting thoughtful touches like complimentary tea, coffee, and bottled water.

The door in the room only locked with an old-fashioned keyhole and lacked a chain, which made me uneasy at times. The fit of the door wasn't great either, letting in some noise from the outside, which could be a concern for light sleepers. the leisure facilities come with a hefty charge of £39, which seemed a bit steep for the amenities offered, especially when considering they felt somewhat outdated and unrefurbished.
